Meet our first franchisee.

Siphosethu is a prime example of the ideal ALSA franchisee. He is a young entrepreneur with experience in real estate and property development and a vision for energy-efficient housing solutions in Sub-Saharan Africa. He will be responsible for the Alsa franchise in Orange View in Protea Glen, Soweto.

Siphosethu Mejini was born in June 1993 in a small village called Mqanduli, near Qunu, where Nelson Mandela was born. Growing up in humble beginnings, Siphosethu always envisioned himself as a leader, bringing people together to create an economically viable and sustainable community through innovative entrepreneurship.

After completing Grade 12 in 2013 at Lutubeni, Siphosethu joined TSIBA Education in 2014 in Karatara, a small town on the Garden Route. He studied there for two years before moving to Cape Town to pursue his degree.

In 2016, he started his BBA degree at TSIBA Business School, finishing in 2018 and graduating on the 5th of October 2019 in record time. His passion for quality education motivated him to apply for an honors degree in BBA at MANCOSA, which he started in 2020 and is set to complete this year due to the impact of COVID-19. At 12, Siphosethu began building houses with his father in the Eastern Cape, completing his first project at 14.

This early experience sparked his passion for construction and led him to register his company, Mejinisas Construction, in 2018. His interest in the property business expanded, and in 2020, he joined a real estate company to deepen his knowledge in the industry, focusing on property management, sales, and rentals. Siphosethu's journey in real estate continued to evolve as he spent two years working as a property practitioner at Jawitz Properties. During this time, he gained valuable skills in dealing with clients and expanded his network within the industry, benefiting from the mentorship and friendship of experienced professionals. In addition to his practical experience, Siphosethu furthered his education by completing a short course at the University of Cape Town (UCT) in Property Development and Investment.

A firm believer in the spirit of Ubuntu, which promotes sharing and caring for others, Siphosethu is dedicated to lifelong learning and adding value to his networks and clients.
